To empower students with the tools, structure, and confidence to navigate the college application process successfully. By making guidance accessible and organized, we aim to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, so every student can take the next step toward their future with clarity and confidence.
Our Story
The UniGuide App began with a simple realization: in a high school classroom, only 1 out of 39 first generation students went into a UC campus after graduation. Not because they couldn’t get in or do it, but because they lacked the guidance, tools, and clarity to navigate the process. There are hundreds of great universities, financial aid available, and support systems ready to assist, they just did not know how to reach them.
As First-generation students ourselves, we know what that feels like, the late nights spent drafting multiple essays, organizing applications, and financial aid forms, often with nowhere to organize or someone to turn to for help. The college application process shouldn’t feel like an uphill battle or stressful, it should feel like a path forward into a successful future.
Those experiences inspired us to create the UniGuide App, a tool designed to simplify the college application journey and provide an optimal experience to every student, especially those who are navigating this process for the first time.
